So you saw the food at the party, it’s time for some of the people.
The weather was absolutely BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL that day. It was pretty much exactly the opposite of the nasty weather we’ve endured lately. And thank goodness because people spent way more time outside than inside.
Olivia stuck close to Shannon until she felt a little more comfortable, but Maxie was raring to go.
Time for some games.
Bri explained how to play and they were off!
When it was Lyla’s turn to get a balloon, she was really picky and HAD to find a pink one.
The goal of the game was to get a balloon, run back, then sit on the balloon to pop it before the next person could go.
The balloon game got the slip n slide warmed up so that was next on the kids’ list.
The fun times just kept coming with a pinata.
Owen’s turn!
He didn’t deliver the crushing blow, but I’m sure he helped maim the poor cardboard donkey.
The candy from the pinata was like an appetizer for the cupcakes so we headed inside to perpetuate the sugar rush.
It wouldn’t be one of these birthday parties without the themed Polaroid photo station by the front door. Shannon, Olivia, Sam, and I got together for our picture.
Thank goodness we had those cupcakes as they sustained us through the gift opening.
Olivia looking pretty in purple while she watched from the safety of the sidelines.
A few more shots from toward the end of the party.
Talk about talent! Looks like Bri’s doing the robot WHILE spinning a hula hoop on one arm.
As you can see, a wonderful time was had by all.
