Day before the marathon

What a week.  I’m hoping it ends on the complete other end of the spectrum than it began.  I’ve got my marathon in Richmond on Saturday so keep your fingers crossed that it goes as well for me as my most recent 20-mile training run.

I ran twice on treadmills during our vacation and ran 5 miles outside in Vegas so I didn’t totally give up on my training.  I haven’t run at all this week, but I did go to spinning and to my muscle class, which I attended just last night so hopefully I’m not really sore on Saturday.  I tried to take it easy when the instructor had us doing lower-body stuff so we’ll see if I made the right call by still going to class but dialing it back a notch or two.

Have you guys heard of this Dog Shaming web site?  Seemed appropriate to share this picture today.

I made it through the week, now I just need to make it through my 26.2-mile run.  I hope to run, at whatever pace that may slow down to be, the entire thing.  I’ll let you know on Monday how it goes.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  I’m glad more than half our weekend will be taken up by the marathon – less time to have our thoughts wander to what we’re missing.

Good luck Steph! You are SO ready for this marathon and you're going to do great!! Can't wait to hear all about it. I know it's been a rough week, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. So I am willing to bet you are at Super Woman strength right now. :) -Leigh
