A McWedding: Part I

The McHusband and I traveled to Knoxville this weekend for his cousin's wedding. Actually, I think she's his second cousin, or she's one generation removed, or something. Whatever, they're related somehow. We were in Knoxville last summer (posts here, here, and here) for a family reunion, and it was fun to go back.

We ended up going to the rehearsal dinner Friday night. We didn't get invited until we were already on the road so we weren't exactly prepared clothing-wise for the dinner, but we didn't look too bad. See, a few people who were supposed to go canceled so we were basically seat-fillers, which worked out just fine by us.

The best part of the dinner? Dessert! There were assorted cupcakes: strawberry, red velvet, wedding cake, and CHOCOLATE. You gotta love a cupcake that has icing as tall as the cupcake.

After the rehearsal dinner, which we'd driven straight to, we checked into our hotel, then went over to the campground where the McInlaws were spending the weekend. We'd never hung out in their RV/trailer before so that was fun. The peach bellinis helped.

The next day, we had time to kill so we - Kevin, Jenny, Chase, the McHusband and I - went to a park so that Chase could play and so that the McHusband and I could get some exercise. We tried one park first, and it looked like it had the greenways that the hubby and I needed, but no playground for Chase. However, it did have tractors and that's all a boy (and his dad and uncle) really need.

And a little video snippet of Chase driving the tractor.

I'll be back in a day or two, I hope, to post some pictures from the wedding and reception. For now, I'll leave you with this teaser pic.
