I’m about halfway through our third day in NY and hope to have that post up tomorrow. I wish I had a new treat to share with you today, but while I did bake (two chocolate chip cookie pies), I didn’t bake anything new although I did mix up some cookie dough that’ll get baked in a couple days. So instead of your usual spoonful of sugar, I’m going to help get your Monday off on the right foot with a couple of cute pics of my kid.
My mom had to employ Connor’s tub in an unorthodox way when she was staying here with him last weekend. See, he didn’t nap as long as he should have (story of his life!) one day so she needed a little more time to get ready after her shower. She brought him into the bathroom with her, put a towel in the tub, and stuck him in there. I remembered this when I was putting clothes away yesterday and it worked like a charm!
Connor’s hair doesn’t stand up on its own anymore since it’s long enough now to weigh itself down. But at the end of the day, with a little natural grease in it, you can shape it into a mohawk.
Later, when we were killing time before his bath, he was just as happy as could be. He’s so close to giggling and I can’t wait to hear that sweet sound.
All in all, it was a pretty great weekend. Connor ran errands with me both Saturday and Sunday. He was perfectly content to be carried facing out in the Bjorn. We went to Sara’s for dinner on Saturday and it was there I had my first crawfish. I liked the meat, but I don’t know that it was worth all the work. Thanks, Sara, for having us! We partied like three-year-olds and didn’t get home until 8:30. I wish I could say that meant Connor slept in on Sunday but no such luck. But he did take a couple good naps so I’ll take it.
Have a great week!
PS We are wishing Heather a very happy birthday today! Hope it’s an awesome day, and I’m excited to celebrate with you later this week.

He must just be a people person...how could he not be....plus he is just soooo cute! Grammie
I might have eeked in the under the nap time wire had it not been for the dratted smoke alarm going off!
As is generally the case, all ended well and Mr. Handsome was more than happy to hang out in the tub and observe the goings on of the fluffing and floofing and getting ready for the day. Sure beats dragging his bouncy chair up and down the stairs!
Happy Birthday Heather! Thanks for bringing food and hanging out with me and Connor. I appreciate you giving up time out of your precious weekend-end minutes!
And Connor - well what can I say but there's a reason I call him Mr. Handsome!
Thank you for the birthday wishes. I had a great day yesterday. Your little man is getting bigger and bigger. It's amazing how time flies! Keep taking pictures!
