{Recipe Recap} Salted Caramel Icebox Pie

I made this pie for dessert the night we went to dinner with Ryan and Sandra, our friends and old neighbors.

My McHusband agrees with the blogger’s husband that this is a fabulous dessert.  He couldn’t get enough of it.

I used chocolate Teddy Grahams for the crust because I couldn’t find the chocolate Nabisco Wafers the recipe calls for.

And you know I like a good crust so I wasn’t disappointed to see how it was thicker around the edges.

This wasn’t my favorite dessert, but I think only because of how it wasn’t overly sweet.  Don’t get me wrong, it was very good, the overall taste just didn’t appeal to me as much as some other treats.

I like to follow a recipe, but I feel like the base of this one was pretty adaptable to other flavors like chocolate or pumpkin or Biscoff.  So I’m going to tap my inner Marie Curie and do some experimenting, hopefully with tasty results.
