This limb fell when it was so windy last week. It’s the second time recently that a limb has fallen and stuck straight into the ground.
There are two holes on one side and one on the other. The McHusband wondered if maybe the limb had been home to a woodpecker before it ended up stuck in our backyard.
Tori will show you the other hole.
What do you think, should we have cut the limb strategically and made an official birdhouse or two? I’m sure my mom with all her craftiness could’ve made something worthy of being on display.
Us on the other hand? The McHusband chucked the limb over the back of the fence.

I'd be willing to bet they were in fact, made by woodpeckers. Let's hope snakes don't decide that the limb and it's very accommodating holes make a nice condo!
